I have tried various outlets for printing, but having been disappointed with some of the poor results of some of my prints, I thought I would give Exmoor Photography a go. I emailed Jack the images I wanted printing, and received a phone call back from Jack to say he could improve some of the images with a little editing if that was OK. Since Jack is a photographer himself, I agreed to this. He also carefully checked the border sizes I needed with me.
When I received the prints I was over the moon with the quality. Jack's eye for detail and effort really paid off. This is so much different from the usual response of 'that is what you sent, so that is what you got'!! from some. All in all, Jack offers an excellent and very professional service.

4Hour Taster Workshop
Review: I had an extremely useful one to one with Jack prior to my upcoming holiday which I thoroughly enjoyed. Jack is a very relaxed and patient teacher who is great at explaining and never moves on to the next thing unless he is confident that you fully understand. I learnt so much about my camera and the settings, and feel I now have a good chance of taking some great photos on my holiday. Jack's enthusiasm for photography, the landscape and wildlife of Exmoor shone through. Alison was very efficient at the pre-course organisation and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Exmoor Photography to anyone wanting to improve or develop their photography skills.

Review: Hi Jack and Jamie,
Absolutely first class day with you both. I learnt and saw so much with you both i cant thank you both enough.
I will never forget seeing, let alone photographing my first kingfisher, the cattle Egrets and finally the marsh harriers in Ariel combat. A day to remember for a long time. Jack, it was a pleasure to hear all the info about the settings on the camera and learn how to use them and why. Your approach was never instructional just very friendly and informative to help me get the best results and learn how to use the equipment to the best advantages for the best results. Many thanks for letting me use your prime and body during the day. I now know i need to get saving!!
Jamie, it was great to have a day out and learn all about the habits of the wildlife on our doorstep and to see your sharp eye still spotting long after i had missed it with my slow reactions. I had a great day out with two fantastic people with a love of photography and wildlife. one which i will be repeating on another course soon. I wish you both the best and to say i was gobsmacked by the day out would be an understatement.
Many thanks,
Duncan Hooper

4hr Taster Workshop
Review: A really excellent workshop. Jack was really friendly and is an extremely good teacher. With his knowledge and obvious love of photography he can explain details clearly and that made the course worth every penny. A extremely enjoyable 4hr session and I will be returning for a full day course as soon as I can.

Kingfisher Hide Special Course Date: 13 07 2019
Review: Fantastic kingfisher day with Jack, the time flew by with the birds presenting within minutes & remaining with us throughout the day. My 1800 + images is testament to that. As always, brilliant tuition & guidance from Jack helped me achieve some of my best images ever & Jack has continued to develop my skills with his extensive, detailed knowledge. I've lost count of the courses I've done with Jack & Alison - including landscape, red deer ruts, ham wall & now the kingfishers - complete satisfaction guaranteed every time, looking forward to the next one!

I had a brilliant full day with Jack and Jamie today. I thought I’d be on a full days course with two other people but I had a big surprise and the absolute pleasure of their wealth of knowledge all to myself. I was terribly nervous but was immediately put at ease with the friendliness of both Jack and Jamie. We took some amazing pictures and thanks to Jamie’s kindness I got to try a macro lens before purchasing one (which will be on my Christmas list to Santa!). This was my second course and I will for sure be looking to book again next time I’m in the area! Jack is so friendly and down to earth, as is his sidekick Jamie, you’ll feel as if you’re in the company of old friends in no time.

I booked two one to one days with Exmoor Photography, the Cuckoo Special which Jack kindly changed to Dippers at my request and the Kingfisher Special.
Both Days were absolutely fantastic not only from the venues I was taken to but mainly from the way I was treated by Jack and his lovely wife Alison from the
time I arrived to the time I left. Nothing was too much trouble.and the way Jack went through the camera settings with his vast knowledge, patients and teaching
skills was exceptional. All through the day his number one priority was that I enjoyed the day and came away happy having become a better photographer with
a greater knowledge of my camera and with an improved technique. So many thanks again Jack and Alison.

Out of the Bag
I attended one of Exmoor Photography's (EP) Dunster Castle photography workshops. It was a beautiful sunny day in May, maybe a little too sunny, if that can ever be the case! We were a group of 4 'pupils' led by very knowledgeable and friendly EP people, Jack and Jamie. We walked around the castle grounds, using various beautiful locations, where they taught us how to use our cameras on many settings other than Auto. Jack provided us each with a bespoke guide covering all aspects of the course.
We had lunch in the Watermill tearoom garden, organised by Alison, before setting off in the afternoon to learn more about F stops, white balance, ISO and many other things, camera related.
We finished the course with a piece or two of Alison's amazing flapjack :)
I have to confess I have been using my mobile phone to take photos in recent years. Since I have been on this course my DSLR camera has been OUT OF THE BAG numerous times.
Thank you to Jack, Alison and Jamie for a friendly, fun and informative day.
