RED DEER: We had another fantastic Red Deer Rut this season on Exmoor. I can and do spend hours just sitting and watching these magnificent animals. After stalking them in an ethical way using years of experience.

Just hope the winter isn't to harsh and they make it. My last visit to the hide for photography was late September. Resident female looks healthy. I don't visit much during the winter months unless I'm checking the site and carrying out any maintenance.

How lucky we are to have these annual visitors to Exmoor and the Somerset Levels. I love the way they 'float' silently through the air while hunting, such majestic looking birds. I must admit I am slightly obsessed with them at the moment.
My patience finally paid off as I had one post very early one morning in front of me. It was sat there posing for me for nearly 40 minutes. Happy Days! Hope you like them Jack
