Kingfishers 2021:
I have just started to edit some of my own images taken so far this season. What with being busy running the workshops I already have a huge backlog to work through having cleared it during the lockdowns last year.
I have all sorts of birds and wildlife to upload but me being me I had to start with Kingfishers, obviously.
I have another fantastic spring/summer spending my spare time on the Kingfisher River. I often have an idea of shots I would like to try and capture but of course wildlife often has its own ideas.
However I wanted to spend some time concentrating on Kingfisher close ups. And after many hours sitting in absolute silence I think I’ve cracked it. Really pleased with these shots mostly of a juvenile female (first brood I think), well developed plumage, bright orange feet and a bright red lower beak and a couple of a younger male, muddy orange/brown feet, black beak with white tip.
Once again the Kings have been very entertaining this season, even after all these years I still witness new behaviour I have not seen before.
Hope you like them
Enjoy
